Kaiden yawned and rubbed his head, looking down at the now empty tray in front of him, the food was decent. In truth, as long as it wasn't poison, Kaiden would eat almost anything that was put in front of him, he was far from picky. "Man... this place is boring... I mean... the people are nice... but man things move slowly here..." He said, positioning himself so his back was against the wall.
Lowering his head, Kaiden looked up for a moment, seeing a few people who he was sure he could get along with. And of course, the girls drew his attenchion first. After that he looked at a few of the other people, but still, this place had nothing going on at the moment. Putting his bag on the table, Kaiden closed his eyes and began to breath slowly, soon in a very light cat-nap.

OOC: Hmm, well this is kind of a closed thread (I think it says so in the opening post) so I'm not sure. We'll have to see if everyone else is okay with you joining, and of course you realize that the reason it's closed is because we want to make sure that the people who join can be counted on to keep posting.

OOC: Yeah, that pretty much sums up how I feel. I'm fine with other people joining, as long as they can promise that they'll stay active.

OOC: As long as that's true, and you don't end up pulling a "Toasty" on us, I think it should be okay for you to join.
PS: Does anyone else find it weird that Shmoe and Banana haven't posted since this started? xD

OOC: Yeah Sadie's got it about right. And actually, Zoodle, I don't know if you care, but in my experience with middle school at least, kids like Zach would just get left alone. Gaming's actually a 'cool' thing - being absorbed in it makes you kind of freakish, yeah, but you're not easy to pick on. Mostly book nerds get abused.
IC: Zach had not bothered to get lunch. Zach would not have eaten lunch if he'd gotten it. He didn't need it. He could actually be called a sort of physical miracle, in that way. He had developed the ability to sustain himself only on about 5 minutes worth of whatever dinner his parents cooked, a pop tart or two in the morning, and however many Doritos he could shove into his mouth in between sidequests. (That number, mind you, may well have been almost a miracle in itself, had it not been such a lame attainment.)
Instead of eating lunch, Zach was huddled over a PSP. Three other boys, almost indistinguishable from him at first glance, were sitting at the table across from him, engaged in basically the same thing, (except that two of them were playing on a DS.) You could've heard the beeping from halfway across the lunch room.

OOC: Ah, that may be true, but Drake has always been picked on, for what seems to him to be no reason at all, so whenever he sees anyone who acts different than the jocks, or doesn't bow down to them, he figures they get picked on as well. Kind of a 'glass half-empty' kind of lad.

Justin walked into the lunchroom and took a look around. Various clicks etc. were scattered through the lunchroom, and his football friends waved him over to the far corner.
"Wanna party tonight J-Rob?" one of his friends said throwing him a football. "I don't think so Jake, I have a final in Geometry coming up." Justin blushed, he hated people thinking he was anything other than a jock.
He sat down and threw the ball up and down, he usually didn't eat at lunch, so he just watched people...Cheerleaders practicing routines, he had just recently broken up with Christine the head cheerleader. He found out that she had been fooling around with a guy from another school and broke it off. Most guys his age were interested in short-term, but Justin was interested in the long run...

OOC: Yeahyeahyeah, posting. ;;9_9
IC:
Cindy sat eating lunch with her friends, happily chatting and enjoying a deli sandwich she'd brought from home; she refused to stomach the cafeteria food, it made her feel sick. As they chewed, one of the girls looked over Cindy's shoulder and made a distasteful face. "I think that one kid's looking at you, Cindy."
Cindy blinked and turned around, scanning the tables behind them. "Which one kid? There are a lot of kids..." she giggled, then continued; "Anyway, whoever it was was probably just kind of spacing out. Everybody does that once in a while."
"You're too nice." her friend replied, rolling her eyes as she ate. "Anyway, I think I've seen him all like, staring at you before. Creeper..."
"I dunno," Cindy protested, shrugging. "I don't even know who you're talking about, so." She wasn't the type of person to assume the worst of someone.
"Speaking of creepers, looks like Tasha's by herself again today," snickered another of the girls, nodding in the unfortunate senior's direction.
"Wow. Seriously? That's so weird, she's usually so popular." said the first girl, wearing a sarcastic expression. The friends laughed, but, though she joined in, Cindy had always pitied Tasha. She figured everyone deserved at least one friend, and it didn't seem as though Tasha had even one. Her rantings about zombies had convinced most people that she was mentally unwell, and it didn't seem right to make fun of someone possibly ill; maybe, mused Cindy, I should talk to her later. It could be that she's just too shy to approach anybody...
"So," she said quickly, after the laughter had died down. "Did you guys hear about Christine and Justin? Oh my gosh, I feel so bad!"
"Serves him right, thinking Christine would like, not screw around." retorted one girl, and to Cindy's relief, the gossip shifted focus.

Justin drank a bottle of apple juice, still observing and waiting for the bell to 3rd hour to ring.
"Yo J-Rob," Jake said, "I think some girls are checking ya out."
Justin looked over his shoulder to see Cindy and some of her friends laughing and looking at him.
"It's probably about Christine," He sighed, "It'll pass, it always does."
I guess I just pick the wrong girls...
"Well guys I think I'm going to head early to Geometry, talk to Mr.Allen about the test." Justin said, shaking some hands and walking away towards Cindy's table. He walked past so they saw him and looked over his shoulder at Cindy, giving her a funny face.
That outta give 'em something to talk about
He laughed and headed for Geometry class...
