OOC: Quite happy.
"Goodbye, mamá! I'll write to you as soon as I can." A hispanic young woman hugged her mother, who had the same dark eyes. "Goodbye, Alita." She smiled, stepping back. Alita turned to her father, a tall man with a smiling face and thin fingers. "Bye, dad." She hugged him and he hugged her tightly back. "Just do your best, sweetie. I'll see you at Christmas." He kissed the top of her head and stepped away.
"All right, I have to go. The train's leaving soon. Bye! Love you!" Alita quickly dashed off, pushing her cart. She sped past a family saying goodbye to a girl who looked to be her age. Quickly entering the platform, she loaded her luggage and, carrying on a trunk, boarded the train. Everywhere's full! I can't find a seat! she thought, peering through the windows on the doors. Finally, she reached a compartment that appeared to only have one person inside. She slid open the door, informing him, "I can't find anywhere else. I hope you don't mind that I sit here."
She hefted her trunk up onto the rack above the seats and sat down across from him. He was a pale boy with dark hair and features. "Hi... I'm Alita."

I was lost in thought when the door suddenly slid open, reminiscing over the past, as I examined my black leather glove. It was a relic of long ago, a magical glove made to fit any hand size; from an infant to an adult. It covered up my most gruesome feature; the severe burn dealt to me at the mere age of six.
I dropped my glove hand down to rest on my bag and my eyes located the strangers face. "I don't mind," I replied to the girl. Godric's house, I thought to myself without even needing to see an emblem on her. I could just tell right off the bat, even though there wasn't much to decipher from this first encounter. "That's a pretty name, Alita. It's nice to meet you. My name is Adrian," I added with a welcoming smile. She's kinda cute, the words passed through my mind without a second delay as I looked at her visage. "Excited to be headed towards Hogwarts once again?" I asked as I looked up at the large trunk she had just lifted onto the rack.

Time after time, as she peered through the windows of the compartment doors, Bailey was met with benches full of happy, chattering friends. The friends she did have would've been happy to welcome her into their compartment, but Bailey didn't want to intrude; she mostly kept to herself, anyway, even around them. No, it would be much better if she could simply find one with few people in it, where she could sit quietly and stay out of their way until the train ride was over...
At last, she was happy to find just such a compartment, with only two others inside... though she was a little hesitant around strangers - especially Slytherins, she noted nervously as she laid eyes on the green colors of the boy's robe, she swallowed hard and slid open the compartment door. "Uh-um... excuse me?" she said softly, avoiding their eyes. "I'm sorry to interrupt... but would either of you mind terribly if I joined you?" She offered up a small smile, blinking tentatively as she awaited a response.

OOC: ... I'm here. I SWEAR I am.
IC: It was easy to pick the young Ravenclaw out among her peers in many dirrerent ways. First of all, most of the students recognized her as being one of the more brilliant, and among her peers popular, girls of her age. Second of all, she had that kind of presence, one of brilliance and attractiveness, so even those who didn't have prior knowledge of her found their gaze drawn to her. And thirdly, among the hundreds of weepy good-byes happening in King's Cross that day, the farewell that she and her family were partaking in seemed almost to be unfeeling.
"Goodbye, daughter dearest. We'll miss you." Said her mother with an air bordering on distraction, kissing her fifteen year old daughter on the cheek.
"Bye, hon. We'll see you at Christmas." Her father added with the same tone.
Flicka smiled at him and waved cheerfully to him the same way she would to an aquaintance she encountered in the halls. "Bye Mom, Dad. Love you." She said casually, and without any further words, she turned to run up to the train, smoke already blowing from its top. 'Finally. The Hogwarts Express.' She thought gleefully, and started down the aisle, carrying her luggage behind her in one hand and in the other, the carrying case for her thin grey cat.

"Very excited." Alita smiled, then turned toward the door as it opened once again. "Not at all!" she replied to the newcomer's request. Here, let me help you with that." Swiftly she hefted the girl's trunk and set it beside her own.
She sat down again, patting the space beside her. She could easily tell that these students were not of her own house, but why not get along with them? This girl was a Hufflepuff and seemed very sweet. And the boy, he may have been a Slytherin but he seemed nice as well.
"We were just talking about how nice it will be to get back to school."

I watched as Alita allowed the newcomer to be welcomed into my once peaceful apartment. I could handle one stranger easily. I even wanted to, she seemed nice and was a pretty one. Two, on the other hand, was a totally different story. Seeing as how I had no choice, I remained silent without any objections. Funny, I thought to myself, even though it wasn’t humorous to me at all, Alita didn’t even pause a second to ask if I wanted her to join MY passenger area. It wasn’t that I disliked this girl, whom I had never met before, it’s just that I didn’t fare well in bigger groups. This group tripled in size over the course of minutes.
The girl didn’t look at either of us really; she just briefly scanned our robes and asked for permission of entrance. She seemed nervous to be around others, though I knew better. Her Hufflepuff robe gave away most of the information to be sought. I doubt the fact that I’m a Slytherin helps any better, I thought to myself as I watched her take a seat; also on the opposite side of me. Paranioa must of crept across me because I found myself thinking that she took an instant disliking to me, even though I was silent. I decided to test out this theory, “my name is Adrian,” I said snaring her attention. “What’s yours?” I awaited her response and tone of response to see if my household did have anything to do with what she thought of me.

OOC: xD Ace, Bailey's a Hufflepuff, not a Ravenclaw. Korrigan's' character, Flicka, is the Ravenclaw. Silly. IC: "Ah," Bailey had stuttered as Alita took her trunk, "you really don't have to--" but the girl had already set down the bag next to hers, and was offering her a seat next to her on the bench. With a nervous laugh, she falteringly moved over and sat down, muttering, "Thank you," as she set Toby's cage in her lap, eyes still downcast, already feeling uncomfortable. She was concerned about whether her presence there would bother the boy, but felt as though speaking up again would only further her awkward position. However, he spoke up first, and she lifted her eyes to meet his in surprise. "Oh... it's um, it's Bailey," she replied at last, the hesitant smile returning to her lips, and she added, "It's nice to meet you, Adrian." The art of conversation returning to her slightly as she thought that, Slytherin though he may be, he seemed very polite, she continued, "I- I'm happy to be going back to school, too. I'm going into my fifth year; OWLs are a bit daunting, of course, but other than that, I'm very excited." Turning to Alita, she flustered, "Oh, I'm so sorry; I didn't ask what your name was..."

The dark skinned girl smiled warmly. "I'm Alita. Glad to meet you both."
Yes, she thought to herself, They both seem quite nice...
"Oh, I'm sorry... Adrian, was it? I didn't even ask if you minded that she join us... I hope you don't think me rude..."
Hmm... I've never really spoken to a Slytherin for very long before. This is interesting. He's definately nice. I guess the whole "mean" thing is just a steriotype.
Alita hadn't really ever spoken to a Slytherin before, but she wasn't the most social person in the first place. She was by no means shy, but she was just too dedicated to her studies to make a lot of friends.
She sized the newcomer up, curious. She was cute in an awkward sort of way. Her freckles and stature made her look a bit like a little girl, especially when she was holding the large birdcage in her lap.
This was indeed a strange compartment to choose.

Thanks for waiting until she’s already sat down, I thought to myself as Alita asked me the question. “I don’t mind at all,” I said with a smile, “the more the merrier. You are not rude at all,” I added a convincing look, “You are only kindhearted” Though I was irritated that I would not be able to arrive to Hogwarts in peace I did not show any frustration. Patience was my strongest asset and I always put it to the test whenever I could. Besides, if I couldn’t even stay collective on the train ride, then I was certain that Snape’s high demands of me would certainly push me over the edge.
“So,” I said looking at the two of them, “who are your favorite teachers?” I already had my clear choice at hand but I wanted them to answer first; just to see how they would react. If they were at all paranoid about Slytherins, then surely, they would show some startled reaction when my answer came out.

OOC: Shut up, it's difficult to think of a way to get someone who is not so socially inept into that compartment! She probably has like twenty friends... I'm trying to think.
Flicka walked through the hall of the train casually, peering into each room looking for her friends, who themselves were part of why she was so happy to be back. "Hmmm... everywhere looks so full..." She frowned, then brightened as she saw her friends' compartment. It too was full to the brim with people, all of them wearing robes of blue and black, but there still seemed to be room for one person if she really wanted to fit. 'Still,' she thought, 'I'm not sure that I want to be so cramped in there. And look, all of them are just reading. That's boring. There must be a more interesting, less full group around here somewhere...' She smiled as, walking towards the very last compartments on the train, she saw a group of three who seemed to be just settling, and who seemed to have no prior knowledge of eachother. Moreover, all three were from seperate houses. 'That looks fun. And they're missing one house, anyway...' She thought to herself, and entered, knocking on the glass as she stepped in. "Hello. Hope you don't mind if I come in, because I am. All the other compartments are full, anyway, so I don't have much of a choice." As soon as she entered, she grabbed her luggage and stowed it away, as well as sitting down and placing her cat on her lap.

"You could stand out in the hallway," I said as I watched her drag all of her stuff in with her. "That's always an option," I added with a sarcastic smirk. I admit, it was kind of rude to say that to a stranger, as she was. I suppose I was annoyed that the first two dwindled my patience already; I wasn't going to be so kind to this one. "Seeing as how you already passed it up," I said in an attempt to change my first impression, "you are welcomed to join us." Maybe I should stop talking before I give more of a wrong impression, I thought to myself silently as I began to realize, I'm the only guy in here! Is that a good thing or a bad? Definitely bad, they're probably gonna start talking about stupid stuff. Not to mention they're probably all younger then me as well. Yep, this is bad. I sat calmly not looking at any of them, I didn't want them to suspect my running thoughts. "Although," I muttered by accident, they're all cute, I thought to myself as the smallest smirk crept across my face, I guess it's not as bad as it could be.
ooc:am I going out of order? I'm in school right now.. hehehehehh.. so I didn't really look at who's turn it is.. if we even need to go by turns.. some people talk more and others don't lol..
