OOC: Blarg, it should be Hanna's turn, the question was directed to Flicka. I don't want to post when someone else should be talking. Alita's not THAT rude lol

OOC: Yeah, it is her turn. I'm sorry guys, she's being really slow. 9.9 I keep telling her to post... and Ace, I believe the term you're looking for is 'The Great Hall' , not the cafeteria xD But I like your idea. The idle conversation shouldn't last too much longer, anyway.

OOC: Hey, I was not informed that it was my turn until like a day or two ago, and yesterday I was busy. I thought Sadie was going to post, since chronologically it was her turn. I'll try to check back here more, though.
Flicka frowned. "Cora? No, she's not magical. To my knowledge, at least." She laughed and petted the cat, curled up tight in her lap. "She acts like it sometimes, I'll admit. At least, she's snooty enough for me to wonder if she might be sentient." She looked up at Bailey and smiled. "You're probably one of the few people who have ever noticed that in her. You really are good with animals, then. Toby seems to me like he's smart, too. Though animals aren't exactly my specialty. More like people, if that counts. And if it doesn't, charms. Oh, wait, I said that already." She laughed again. "It's very nice to meet you, Bailey, and er... Alita, was it?" She pointedly left Ardrian out of the statement. 'Not really a pleasure to meet him, so I don't see why I should be polite about it.' She thought, pushing her glasses up her nose in a slightly high and mighty fashion.

"Yes." Alita smiled, responding to the uncertainty of her name. "Alita Lochrin."
Alita noticed that Flicka seemed rather abbhorant of the idea of getting to know a Slytherin. Generally Alita wasn't too fond of that particular house either, but she couldn't help but sympathize. It couldn't be nice having everyone outside of your own house not like you. And they can't all be bad, they're people just like anybody.
"That's a very pretty cat. I have a cat at home, but it isn't really my cat, it's my mom's cat. That's why I don't bring him to school. His name is Tito. Just a big marshmallow, really."

ooc: Yes yes.. the Great Hall blah blah blah lol..
ic: I smiled a bit as the cat curled into it's owners lap. I always had a weakness for pretty animals, and pretty girls for that matter. It was a bit surprising to see how responsive the animal was to the mention of its name. My smile faded as it was obvious that My name was not mentioned with the other two. A tingle of sadness sprung up as I could sense Flicka was certainly not fond of me. I tossed it out of my head since this was certainly not the first time I encountered a person like this.
Many people going to Howarts had the Slytherin stereotype engraved into their minds; that we were all arrogant cheats. They assumed that we were all rutheless and didn't have a kind bone in our body. My close relations with Snape kept most of them at bay. There were some that were enormous fans of my father, which allowed them to overlook my Slytherin household. My father's name, though, was something that I could live without.

OOC: My gracious, it appears to be my turn ^^ How do people like the idea of this post being the last one before a cut to the Great Hall? It could be like, '*Bailey says some cute things of cute adorableness* And the four talked it up until suddenly, the train pulled to a stop in front of TEH HOGWARTS *Bailey makes her way to the GREAT HALL xD (You know you love me, Ace.)*' And then somebody else could post. I'd do it right now but I wanna get everyone's approval, in case somebody has something they're just dying to say before we get to Hogwarts.

OOC: ... That hurts, Ace. It hurts right here. *patting heart* XD A-N-Y-W-A-Y, the stopping-@-page-5 was... eh... OKAY, at best ( ), but I was afraid we'd run dry on conversation before then... there's not a whole lot else to be said. BESIDES, Ace, are you the only voice in this decision? Uh, no. Psh. (I love you. :3)

OOC: A bucket fell on Eve's head. ;^^ Sorry, Kori and Sadie and I have a buttload of rehearsals for the play we're in, Twelfth Night, and that on top of homework has kept me kinda busy. But I'm posting now!! *rushes out to centerstage* *pushes Ace off* *lights off* *single spotlight* *looks up dramatically through eyelashes* IC: Bailey giggled at Alita's comment. "Oh, it's very nice to meet you, too!" she chirped happily, turning to Flicka, before quickly adding, "It's grand to meet all of you, in fact." She sat back in her seat comfortably next to Alita, arms still encircling Toby's birdcage. "I don't know about you three, but I'm really looking forward to my fifth year here." Shifting her gaze to the window, where the countryside sped past beneath a vast sky lit up by the sinking sun, she breathed a contented little sigh. They all seem so welcoming and sincere... Her eyelids drooped, as she thought sleepily, I do hope I'll get to see more of them once we start school...* * * The whistle shrilled suddenly, and Bailey's head jerked up from where it had been resting on her chest as the train's motion began to slow. Embarrassed that she had dozed off, she looked around the compartment with an apologetic smile. "Looks like we're here!" As the train began to pull to a complete stop, Bailey stood and took her suitcase in one hand, Toby's cage in the other. Wobbling a bit from the motion of the car, she nudged open the sliding door with her foot. "I'll see you all later!" she called over her shoulder as she made her way out into the thin walkway and down towards the exit. Once she was outside, Bailey was immediately swept up in the mass of bodies making their way towards the lakeshore, where the horseless carriages waited to take them across to Hogwarts. Somewhere in the commotion she heard Hagrid's distinctive, deep voice calling, "This way, first years, come with me, now!" The students filed into the carriages, and soon they began making their way along the bank towards the castle, where the lit windows glowed through the darkness like little yellow lanterns, guiding them home. Soon enough, they were all seated at their tables in the Great Hall, where an excited buzz of conversation filled the air. The sorting had just finished, and all the first years had now joined their respective houses. Bailey smiled as she gazed around at the familiar floating candelabras, the starry ceiling, the professors seated at the front of the room... But, she noticed, Dumbledore had stood and was approaching the podium, as though to make an announcement. Bailey's smile widened, as she thought, Must be about to deliver his traditional 'dig in' speech...OOC: 1.), yes I know the carriages aren't horseless xD Bailey doesn't know that cuz she's never seen someone die. 2.), I... can't, write Dumbledore. 6.6 So could somebody please do that for meh? 3.), I'm sorry this is so late... but its disgusting longness makes up for it, mais non? ^.~
