This is The Realm of the Dragons.
The Story:
Dragons had been around ever since the beginning of time. They are said to have created the mountains and rivers where the humans now live. The Dragons are shrouded in mystery, and many a myth surrounds them. However, the true dragons were dying out.
Humans and Dragons used to have a pact. The Dragons would stay in their mountains as long as humans stayed in their fields and forests. Occasionally, when food in the mountains was scarce, the humans would willingly give livestock to help. We got on well with dragons, and the pact was passed down through generations.
But then, disaster struck. New dragons, from further north than humans dare go, had fled their lands. The old of their kind were greedy, and unwilling to share their mountains. The Younger Dragons had to leave, or stay, fight and, most likely, die. These black dragons swept across the shared land, uncaring of the pact. The native dragons fought, but the number of the Northerns was too great. The Natives began to die out. The Northerns attacked livestock and humans alike, laying waste to towns, burning all they didn't need. The Natives tried to stop them, but they were helpless.
And so, the Dragon hunters were born. They were a league of Townsfolk, devoted to driving off the black dragons. They received help from the native dragons, and began to fashion armor from the metals the dragons coveted. Their weapons were powerful, and they determined to vanquish their adversaries, but some were not in agreement. Another group cropped up. The Guild of Healing. They wanted to save the dragons, not fight them. They believed that they could reinstate the pact with the new dragons, and get them to share the land.
So here we are, the four groups. The Native dragons, the Northerns, the Dragon Hunters, and the Guild of healing.
