OOC: Looking forward to starting this RP! (BTW, as I stated in the old thread, the reason I've made a new thread is because that one is almost entirely OOC discussion and planning; and besides, we're not RPing as ourselves anymore, so a Hogwarts RP belongs here rather than in Real Life RPs.) This is what I tried to base my character off of, while still keeping her as separate as possible from Twi. xD Isn’t she a cutie, though?! The sorting hat's song, book one, Hufflepuff:
You might belong in Hufflepuff, Where they are just and loyal, Those patient Hufflepuffs are true And unafraid of toil Name: Bailey Crickit Age: 15 (a fifth year) Physical appearance: Course blonde hair which about reaches the top of her ribcage, usually in a braid down her back. A little short for her age, relatively skinny, a fair complexion and a few freckles. Round-faced, with a pair of small, warm brown eyes. Family background: Bailey is the middle child in a family of three, with an older sister of 21 named Hazel and a younger brother of 6 named Darien. She's very fond of both her siblings. They all live together with their single mother, and both she and Bailey's older sister work diligently for a living to support them all. Bailey's father left a few months after her brother was born. After graduating, Hazel stayed at home instead of going to a university to help ensure Bailey and Darien successful futures. Bailey is of mixed heratige; her mother is a muggle, but her father was a wizard. She and her sister are both witches, but her brother is also a muggle. Personality: She’s quite shy around most people, but if someone talks to her, she’ll readily talk back to them. She’s kind to everyone she meets, though she has few friends; she has a pet owl named Toby whom she confides everything to. She believes animals are some of the best friends a person can have: dependable, righteous, and more intelligent than we might think. She, too, tries to be a true companion to those who know her, always willing to listen and do what she can to help. She tries very hard in school, and does well in most areas, though she’s hopeless at potions. She is also notorious, in Transfiguration, for attempting to smuggle out the mice meant for turning into teacups. She gets stressed out easily, whether it be becaue of OWLs, any kind of descision - no matter how small, or thinking she's done something to hurt someone's feelings. She likes Hogsmede visits, and enjoys sitting and having a warm drink with her companions in The Three Broomsticks; but she mostly prefers to takes walks by herself around the grounds, or sit by the lake and look out for the giant squid during her free time. She can always be seen wearing a smile, and she’s always ready with a compliment. Specialization: Care of Magical Creatures Pet: A barn owl named Toby Intro coming!

OOC: *poofs in* Thank you all very much for taking care of the technicalities of setting this up while I let my sister update me on it. ^-^ *is a slacker*
The sorting hat's song, book one, Ravenclaw:
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, if you've a ready mind, Where those of wit and learning, Will always find their kind.
Name: Felicia Carson Nickname: Flicka, which just about everyone calls her. Age: 15, (A sixth year, she skipped a grade.) Physical appearance: Short (pixie cut) auburn hair, bright green eyes. About average height and complexion. Fairly sharp features, including almond shaped eyes, a slightly hooked nose, and a sharp chin. Cat-eye glasses with no bottom wire ((Basically the exact make of Ashley’s.)) Family background: Flicka is an only child and muggle born, but her parents know a good deal about the wizarding world, since they learned all they could about it when she was born and they discovered its existence. This is mainly because both of her parents share Flicka’s insatiable hunger for information, and unstoppable curiosity. Her father is currently a professor at a university, a job for which he is payed very well, so her family is quite well off. Not rich, necessarily, but above average. Her mother can therefore do just about whatever she wants, and so she works as a voulunteer librarian. Personality: Flicka is, unsurprisingly, very bright, and she knows it, making her a little bit egotistical occasionally. She is fairly social by nature, and has many friends, who follow her lead in most things. She tends to view the world in black and white, especially when it comes to people: either she likes them or she doesn’t. However, she does like most people. She’s a little bit short tempered, especially regarding her name. Calling her ‘Felicia’ is a sure fire way to get her angry, but getting her angry isn’t too dangerous unless you are overly sensitive, since the worst she usually does when she’s angry is chew someone out verbally. Obviously, she does well in all of her subjects, though she is not too exceptional in anything but Charms. She’s also very ambitious and a little bit competitive, but not at all a sore loser. More than all else, she is sarcastic as all get out. Pet: A thin gray cat named Cora Specialization: Charms

OOC: Aww, I'm honored! I didn't know Flicka had my glasses ^^ The Sorting hat's song, Book one, Gryffindor:
You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve and chivalry Set Gryffindors apartName: Alita Lochrin Age: 15 (fifth year) Physical Appearance: Thick, brown, wavy hair to the middle of her back pulled back in a black headband. Her complexion is caramel tan (she is half hispanic), she has high cheekbones and a strong jaw. Her eyes are large and very dark, with long dark lashes and dark eyebrows. Background: Her father is a wizard from England and her mother a witch from America. They met when her father (who works for the ministry of magic as an auror) was on a trip to the states and there he met a woman named Isabel who would become heis wife and later the mother of Alita. Personality: Like the traditional Gryffindor, she is brave and strong willed. More than anything she wants to be an Auror like her father, and therefore works very hard in school. She doesn't have many friends, but doesn't really mind. Despite the fact she cares so much about her schoolwork, she doesn't really get stressed out often. She tries to keep a cool head in all situations, because she feels that getting worked up never solved anything. You have to do things for yourself if you want to make things right again and moping gets you nowhere. Specialization: You guessed it- Defence Against the Dark Arts Pet: none Blarg, not very long...

the sorting hat's song, book one, Slytherin:
Or perhaps in Slytherin You'll make your real friends, Those cunning folk use any means To achieve their ends.
Name: Adrian Minister Jr. Age: 16(a sixth year) Physical Appearance: Black wavy hair that falls an in short of his shoulders. His height is 6'5" which makes him stand out amongst most students. Pale complexion and average size, exept his muscular definition is very high. A black glove covers his right hand; concealing a vicious scar from a burn he recieved at the age of six. Background: Adrian is an only child and also an orphan from the age nine. His father, Adrian Minister Sr. was in the Ministry of Magic until one fateful night; he murdered his wife (Adrian's mother) and then comitted suicide. His mother was a witch from Ireland and his father a wizard from England. He lives with his uncle somewhere in Ireland. Professor Snape has the highest regard for Adrian and often speaks of Adrian being his prized student. He often teaches him spells and potions that would normally not be taught to a student. Personality: Adrian is a very kind and gentle person. He isn't very talkative to groups strangers if he doesn't have a friend around for assistance; at Hogwarts this means is almost always silent since he was never one to attept friendships. On the other hand, if he is one on one with someone, he will be quite outgoing. Adrian is a very patient person and often uses this to his advantage when obstacles occur. Adrian is an expert at concealing emotions; even if his arm were severed off he would pretend to be perfectly fine, and would be very convincing as well. A downside to concealing emotions and hiding feelings is that any frustration he bottles up will eventually build up until he can't handle it any longer. Specialization: Dueling Pet: none

ooc: As far as Snape and Dumbledore still being teachers and headmaster.. we'll just keep them like nothing ever happened.. kk? sounds good? yes? No questions? GOOD! ^.^
"Any Drooble's gum?" the old lady asked as she slid open the door to my passenger area. "Are you the only soul in here?" she asked; my face was the only one to greet her. "I believe so," I replied looking around, I hadn't even noticed since I was too far consumed into a book. "Uh," the lady said holding up some assorted candies, "any thing sweet to eat for you?" "No thanks," I replied as I opened up a book the I was previously reading. "You're a sixth year," she said curiously, "am I correct?" I shifted my eyes back towards her, "that I am." "Is it me, or do you not have a sweet tooth in you? I mean, you never want any candy each time I ask." "I simply don't want any," I replied as my eyes drifted back to my reading. "Well Adrian Minister Jr." she said with a tinge of irritation.
The hair on my neck prickled as I heard my full name being used. Everyone that knew my name also knew that I hated it in full use, it was like a constant reminder of my father and his fame of being such a great wizard. Like a tormenting shadow, it seemed to follow me everywhere I went.
This time my eyes shot straight to her and my visage was less forgiving. She hesitated for a second before finishing her sentence, "you ought to have some sugar in a day." "I'll have the gum," I surrendered with my hand held out. "That's more like it," she said with a grateful smile, "you'll love it."
She handed over the Drooble gum and then glanced down at my book. "Ah," she said recognizing the authors name, "what a great author and a fantastic book as well!" This time my eyes glared at her and she hurriedly walked off with the cart of candy. I resumed my reading, finally at peace. She was right, the book is a fantastic one. Though, I doubt she said anything about for the sake of its quality.
I set down the book as anticipation set in, it wasn't going to be long before I would be sitting back at Hogwart's. I can't wait to be back under Professor Snape's wing again, I thought to myself as a smile crept upon my face, hopefully I can cram even more learning into this year then last! "Careful of learning too much at once," Snape's words echoed through my head as I remembered him saying that last year, "it could potentially be dangerous."
I shoved my book back into my bag. The writing on the cover shimmered past my eyes just as it was engulfed into darkness.

OOC: That's a freaking awesome intro, Ace. O.O I really like your character!
... Speaking of intros... mine's coming on Sunday ;^^ Promise. Cross my heart and hope to die. I'd do it now but I have to be going somewhere soon, plus I've kind of got a 24-hour bug from a friend of mine at school and I don't feel my best. But tomorrow I should be better. ^.~ Again, kewl intro!!

ooc: Thank you very much! I've been in a writing kind of mood the last couple of days. After that intro I converted a 3 paragraph essay into 9. It was about problems facing the U.S. concerning a survey I took of it. I then made a poem out of all the answers I got. I just can't stop typing. It's like I need to type more and more. lol

OOC: ... 'kay, so I'm a day late. BUT I'M DOING IT NOW SO YEAH!! I hope I'll be able to LARP as Bailey sometime soon... she's just a sweetheart. <3 IC: It seemed a usual day at the King's Cross Station. Porters were shouting over one another, train whistles shrilled noisily, and people of every size and shape swarmed through the platforms, crowding to see the screens that displayed arrival and departure times, greeting eachother, parting with eachother, talking and laughing and grunting with the effort of carrying their luggage. Each had a reason for being there; each had a story... However, it could be safely said that not one of these stories could compare to those of the hundreds of families who, every year, flocked to this particular train station, on this particular day... for reasons your average muggle would find quite hard to believe. One of these families was the Crickits. "Oh, no matter how many times we do this, I can never remember; where's platform six-and-three-quarters?" huffed a young woman, glancing at her watch, as she and her three children hurried through the station. "It's nine-and-three-quarters, mum," Hazel replied patiently, scanning the numbers over the platforms as they passed each one. "And it stands to reason that if we find platform nine, and platform ten, it'll be somewhere in between." "It's nine-and-three-quarters," repeated Darien. "No need to fret, there's no rush," Bailey interjected kindly. "We always make it just in time. Hush, Toby," she added, as the owl screeched, not liking the noise and the crowd. "Ah, and what do you know: here we are." True enough, before them stood the fateful brick wall that separated platforms nine and ten. All four exchanged momentary glances, then, when they were sure noone was looking, they dashed across the short distance and through the barrier. The Hogwarts Express awaited them as always on the other side, steam billowing from its smokestack, familiar as an old friend. An eager smile lit Bailey's face, and she turned to her mother and her siblings. "Well, I suppose I'd better be off... thank you all for walking me all the way here!" She knelt down to face her little brother, holding his hands in hers and squeezing them affectionately. "Don't you dare get too big while I'm away!" Darien grinned. "Can't make any promises." Giggling, Bailey stood and moved on to Hazel. "Don't work yourself too hard, alright?" Hazel chuckled, and wrapped her sister in an embrace. "You just worry about school, Bae. I'll miss you." Finally, Bailey turned to address her mother. "I promise to write every day." She hugged her tightly, murmuring, "Love you." Her mother stroked her hair, replying, "Love you too, my dear... now, go on," she said, gently lowering her arms, "or you'll miss the train." Nodding, Bailey grabbed her bags from the cart, then carefully took Toby's cage in her other hand. "I'll miss you all!" she yelled, as she started to walk towards the steam engine, its wheels already starting to spin. "Love you! Goodbye!" They waved her off as she boarded the train, and she stayed at the window and watched them dissapear from sight as the train barrelled off for school. With an affectionate sigh, Bailey finally turned from the window, and started walking through the corridor, shyly looking to either side to check for empty compartments. She preferred to sit alone, generally, but she'd gotten on so late that most of them were already full... OOC: Wow. I'm so creative that I made it EXACTLY LIKE THE BEGINNING OF THE FIRST MOVIE. -.- That's originality for you. xD A-N-Y-W-A-Y!! What's y'all's input on this? I think it'd be cool if they all sat together on the train ride to Hogwarts... it would at least give them a chance to see eachother's faces before they all meet up in the tournament, since they wouldn't see much of eachother at school (cuz they're all in different houses). Would that be possible?
