NP, Sadie... You know I'm always here...
Yes, my usual display name is Captain Niobe... For this site though, I decided to use the name of my first well-used character, Switchblade. Though I may decide to change it back, and keep Switchblade for another forum I've just recently completed... Now, if Pat could get better and do the rest of the upgrades (Servers 21-48), I'll be happy... lol...
Anyways, for those of you a little confused by the names, you can either call me Switch, Switchblade, or Niobe... Or CN or Capt', as a couple of other people do... The choice is yours, and I really don't mind... lol...
Confused? LMAO!!!
;D

Keeney, unforuately, the rules for ProBoards that the owners (or admin) of their boards is that no one under 13 is allowed to join a ProBoards forum. The ProBoards service is based in California, U.S.A., and there is a Californian law that we all have to follow, whether we live in California, anywhere else in America, or from another country, such as myself (Australia). The law is that no one under 13 is allowed to give out any personally identifiable information whatsoever on the internet. You may think that ProBoards does not ask for personally identifiable information. But it does, via your e-mail address. This law cannot be changed, and you may ask, "What does that have to do with people living and owning boards outside of California?" The answer is simple: Patrick Clinger owns ProBoards, he made it, he wrote the programming for it, he pays the money for the use of 48 servers. And- he lives in California. Patrick is allowed to provide this free internet service, on the condition that everyone who uses the service follows all Californian law. If that law is broken, by any owner or member of a ProBoards forum, Patrick can- and will- be charged, and worse yet, he may have to shut ProBoards down for good. I am not saying this is what will happen if a law is broken, I'm just saying it could. I, for one, would not like to lose my forums, either due to my breaking the law, or having ProBoards forceably shut down. I'm sure all other ProBoards owners and members feel the same.
Anyways, enough of my 24-year-old ramblings- please come back when you are 13, Keeney, I'm sure everyone here would love to have you back.
;D
