Ooc: oh oh I want to join pick me pick me!
Ic: Rin sat at a dirty wooden table in the corner of the tavern. Her fingers strayed to the hilt of the sword hanging at her side. Something was up. She could feel the tension swell in the room. Her black eyes peered out from under the hood of her cloak. She shifted in her seat slilghtly, her clothing was almost dry. Under her cloak she wore a long black shirt, almost lilke a tunic but not quite. Loose white pants covered her legs, she wrapped the brown cloak tighter around her. She wanted new clothing, her's looked so much different than that of the people she had seen. She shook her head and focused back on to the situation at hand. The men who had come in just rescently had unnerved the other merchents and travillers. Rin didn't quite understand why; I was raining of corse people would look for some where to stay. But maybe the question was not why had they come here but why they were out there in the first place. Rin tilted her head forward letting black hair fall into her face, she then turned her attention to the man with silver eyes. He seemed to be in pain. Rin wondered if his arm was broken or just hurt, she couldnt tell from where she was. She leaned back in her chair and pulled her hood over her eyes. Slowly she breathed in and out, braceing herself for whatever was to happen next.
Ooc: oh ya I really need pratice. It's been a really long time. =D

OOC: Will someone please post?!
IC: Scalli sipped at his mug as soon as it had been refilled, placing a few more coppers on the bar. He thought about asking after a room. The pain in his forearm was starting to really burn now that he was safe and not runnig high on battle or flight fever. He wouldn't mind having a chace to sleep on a comfortable bed, have a chance to properly look at his arm and other minor injuries...I need to take care my arms. All swordmen do but me especially since I fight with a two-blade style...gah. What the hell I'll ask.
"Sir, how much would it cost for me o stay in a room here? One night and meal in the morning. I need a chance to rest and recooperate from my rather long hard day."
Scallion spoke in a low tone of voice. It seemed as if he had a cold but that was a pathetic attempt at his usual pleasant growl. Plus his nose was starting to feel stuffed up...Perfect, what else could go wrong?!

OOC: hmm.. >.> I hope I hit the right button.. Dont yell if i mess up er anything. =D; im new. Just tell me if im being stupid please, thanks! ^^
A shadowy figure entered the Tavern, making no sounds other than the thumping of his boots walking across the floor. He wore a dark tattered cloak that went down almost to his ankles, with a hood thrown over his head, covering his facial features and otherwise giving him a bit of a meanicing look. The only thing visible under his cloak were his dark boots, which gave little information about what the man was like. He paused for a moment, scanning the tavern occupants faces silently and then turning his gaze downwards. He let out a long low sigh, walking further into the building. Each step he took seemed to be a little heavy, as if he were holding a tremendous weight under his tattered cloak. As he reached the opposite wall from the door of the tavern, he stopped his movement and leaned his back up against the wall, crossing his arms across his chest and looking at Rin for a moment. He paused, then turned his gaze downards once again, once again finding no reason to speak.

Ooc; Yay people posted!!!
Ic; Rin opened her eyes at the sound of the door once again being opened. More water and wind swept through as some one came in. She watched the shadowy figure walk across the tavern calmly, she smiled. As soon as the figure sat down she gathered up the ends of her cloak and stood up. She walked quickly and quietly over and sat down next to the man who had just come in. "You look wet, and your very late." she said in a quite voice. " I think the storm may have gotten worse."

The man uncrossed his arms and pulled down his hood to reveal a young man's face. He had messy silver hair in a pigtail that went down a little below his shoulders. His eyes were a deep emerald color, and also a bit larger than most peoples. He smiled a bit, running a hand through his wet hair, "Late? I didn't even know I had to come here." He replied, resisting the urge to wringe his clothing out in the tavern. "The storm's definantly gotten worse... I wonder if something's gonna happen?" He said, turning his head up and mostly talking to himself near the end of his statement. OOC: Yaaay! (And I appologize for forgetting the IC before. ^^; )

OOC: Wha-huh? I thought this thing was dead! But one thing: Why did you need me?
IC: Peeking through his arms, Tham saw a pair of newcomers discussing something between one another. He watched them for a moment to make sure that they weren't going to do anything stupid before moving onward. His gaze caught movement outside the window. Curious, he raised his head to investigate further.
At that exact moment, the recruiter descended the staircase, proclaiming that he had contracts available for signing for any that wished to join the Merchant Kings' armies. The quiet room suddenly erupted as mercenaries that had been lounging in their stools leapt to their feet and began shouting that they were ready to sign. The recruiter simply smiled and waved at them, stepping slowly down the stair that lead to the common room. His next step turned into a stumble, and he tumbled down the remaining stairs to land in a heap on the floor, a throwing knife fixed between his eyes. All eyes turned to see who had thrown the knife.
Verald simply shrugged and grinned ruefully. "Sorry lads, but the Korbites pay me well." A couple of the men guffawed, but the remainder began to grumble menacingly. One man stood and drew a huge broadsword, his intentions obvious. In response, Verald simply whistled.
The door to the inn burst inward, and a heavily armed troop of Korbite infantry tramped into the room, followed by one of the most heavily armored men Tham had ever seen. The commander, for that is what he obviously was, drew out a piece of parchment.
"By order of his Imperial Majesty, Emperor Orran Korba XVIII, all men and woman in this establishment able to carry a sword are to be conscripted into the Korbite Military and paid at the rate of three coppers a week. All objectors will be immediately executed." He rolled the parchment and slid it into a carrying tube, which he thrust roughly into a belt at his side.
Almost every mercenary in the inn drew weapons, and with a roar, they charged the soldiers. Tham, however, simply looked over at Verald and asked if there was a spare room in the back he could use for a moment. A quick glance outside told him that there were soldiers waiting for anybody attempting to flee. As he spoke with Verald, he wrapped his head again and pinned it in place at his right temple with a silver pin worked in the shape of a raven. After finding out that there indeed was an empty room in the back, Tham stood and vaulted over the bar striding quickly into the back rooms, already beginning to gather the shadows to himself. It was fortunate that he hadn't used the spell today yet. The only place he knew to be safe was Iyre, the capital of Wyrr.
Had he been seen? Tham decided it wasn't worth the time to investigate. He doubted that anyone had paid attention to their shadows sliding along the floor to the open doorway in front of him. The shadows coaleced into the doorway, forming a portal of what seemed to be liquid darkness. Tham turned to look back one last time at the Inn. It had been one of his favorites, which was unfortunate, since he doubted it would withstand the pitched battle going on currently.

Ooc: Oh my word.......O.o
IC: Rin jumped to her feet as the noise erupted in the room. There was no way she was going to be recruited into the army. “We need to get out of here.” She said to the man next to her. She turned around and ran to a window. Rin was about to open it when she saw the solders out side, she cursed quietly to herself. "What to do. What to do." She muttered to herself.
The Korbite solders were quickly pressing in on the rebelling mercenaries, everyone here was either out skilled or out equip. A few people had given in or been beat down but the remainder were still going strong. suddenly Rin got an idea. She turned to the man "The roof." She said "We can hide on the roof."

OOC: lol Grimmy, NOTHING was happening. We needed something, and you gave us something and more!
IC:
"... Whuh?" Blair could barely think with all of the noise in the room. Recruited for the army? But... what qualified a person? Ability to use a sword, or just ability to lift one? She had no clue which it was, and it mattered terribly to her, seeing as one would make her qualified and one would not.
If she was forced into the army, she could die in war. If she resisted she would most certainly be executed.
Without much time to consider things further she hopped behind the counter and out of the fracas. Oh shite.... why did I have to come to THIS bar? I could have gone to ANY bar! I don't get involved in things! she thought angrily, crouching beside the bottles of alcohol.

OOC: oooh... =D very nice. IC: The man took a quick look around for a moment, then looked over to Rin with a pleading look, pulling out his long broadsword, "But-but... I have... I could just blow this place up!" He shook the sword a bit, it's chipped and rusted blade looking like it was about to fall apart at any impact. A set of odd looking characters were chissled into the blade, and every few moments glowed with an even odder mix of orange and purple colors. He paused for a moment, knowing Rin's probable answer, then just sighed, "Fine... Let's go." He said, realizing even he couldn't take on that many people at once. "But if they fallow us I get to do something about it." he added, not liking the idea of being completely defeated.
