Taliesin's sword sheithed slowly as he examined the dead body at his feet. He kneeled down and took a bit of the deceased man's blood onto his fingertip He pulled out a scroll and unrolled it looking down the list of names and crossed off the name Jaklys in the blood. He then skimmed down the list until he got to one that didn't have blood smeared across it; Karkais. He raveled up the scroll and began walking North through the dense forest he was in. Fifteen miles to the town of Lorean, he thought as walked in between the trees, Karkais will probably be hiding somewhere near there.
ooc: some of you might already know that Taliesin is an assassin working for the devil, or a devil... He goes around killing people on his list; they are all murderers and criminals... I'll post the rest of the intro when I have more time...

OOC: Relax no hurry. Now let's see. I think I'll play someone in Lorean.
Noko
Race: Human Age: 15 Height: 5'6 Hair: Black, reaches shoulders, fans out a bit at the tips Eyes: Gray Skin: Fair Body: Slender Wardrobe: Long-sleeved light gray long dress with u-neck
IC: Noko rushed through the streets, basket in her arms, trying to get to a store. On the way she lost her footing and plummeted to the ground, scraping her arm. She hopped up, "Shoot! Darn it now I've slowed down." She took a quick glance at her elbow, and sighed, taking the basket off the ground, "Where was I?" Noko looked around for a moment, trying to remember what she was doing. It dawned on her once again, "Oh yeah! Yikes!!" She hurried off once again in the direction of the group of shops in the city.
OOC: Is that alright Tali?

OOC: OKAY!! I've decided to reform myself, and become a regular poster again, at least on a couple of threads!!! I WON'T LET YOU DOWN!!!!!!!
Name: Loni Age: 20 Height: 5'4" (hehe... she's a shortie) Hair: Light straw blond, past her shoulders with a little beaded string with a feather in it tied in Eyes: Blue Skin: Fair Body: Thinnish and compact (what can I say, she IS a shortie) Wardrobe: Hokay, brown tanktop, gray-green baggy shirt-sweater overtop, dark purple long skirt that's all swishy-like and moccasin-style boots
AND SHE HAS FRECKLES!
IC: Loni leaned against the outer wall of an establishment, shading her eyes from the bright sun. Her sword hung at her hip, the metal glinting as it swung gently. It's too hot. she complained inwardly, a small scowl across her petite features. WHY does Eve make me go on these "quests"? Like they're going to make me a better knight! All they do is make me too hot, or too cold, or too soggy, or too dry. I only got ONE good thing out of ANY of these so-called adventures... and she wasn't too happy about that. The scowl was replaced by a small dreamy smile. When her mother had met her beau, she was astonished and none too happy to discover that it was, indeed Thief, the very knight she had sent her daughter to study under in a mission to escort safely a princess across a vast desert. And... oohh, that Princess Saerela... she had her eye on Thief as well. He's certainly lucky he couldn't be charmed by her rude, snobby ways! This finally made her chuckle to herself.
Well, there's no sense in just sitting here sourly. I may as well find SOMETHING to prove I'm an adequate knight-in-training. With that thought she set off through the market district to find something, ANYTHING.
Though, this time, something would find her. Almost as soon as she stepped into the street she saw a fast flash of whipping black hair before she was abruptly crashed into by a frail body several inches taller than herself, accompanied by a woven basket.
Both girls shrieked as they toppled to the ground. "Hey, genius! Try looking where you're going next time!" Loni grumbled to the newcomer, slowly standing and brushing herself off.
OOC: sorry fer tha godmoding, Kiana. If you want me to make some changes, I shall!

OOC: No, no! I like what you did! I envy your writing skills so much. And I'm glad to be in an rp with you! ^-^
IC: Noko hit the ground hard. She looked up at who she ran into, and at her remark, she blushed, "Oh my goodness I'm so sorry!" She gathered herself and once again her basket and stood up, despite her now aching rear-end, "I was just in such a hurry! You didn't get hurt did you? Ohh," Noko put a hand to her cheek and swayed at her silliness. She closed her eyes. Oh I'm such a dork. I've totally humiliated myself. In an effort to change the subject, she said, "Um, I'm Noko. What's your name?" She cocked her head, portraying that pleading 'please just forget about it' look.

OOC: Tankoo! IC:
Loni sighed. She's just a kid, huh? And an apologetic one at that! Gods, if I had met her just a couple years ago....... at any rate, she's lucky that's not the case.
"... Loni. And, don't worry about it. I guess... I'm just in a bad mood." Loni had been working on controlling her temper, and she had managed to get it down to a dull simmer. Of course, the sarcasm would forever be present, but the biting comments and generally haughty disposition were being washed gently away.
"Anyway, just forget abou it. I've lived through worse, and you can trust me on that." She gave the younger girl a wry smile. "Where are you headed in such a hurry, anyway? I mean, it can't be so urgent that yo can't even look where you're going, can it? Please say it isn't so urgent.... otherwise I'd have no say in whether I help you or not." She paused, thinking about what she had said. "That is to say..." she carefully added, thinking about her words BEFORE saying them, "I do want to help you, if you need it. It's just that, I'm training to be a knight, and part of my current training is to dive into any problems that civillians have, in order to help them. So, I... want to help... I just... have to anyway... but I would... just even if I wouldn't.... now I'm not making a lot of sense." She scrunched up her face before sighing and opening her eyes. "Let's start over: Why are you in such a hurry?"

OOC: Oh but I'm happy to be in an rp with you too Taliesin! Here's my list of people who I envy in writing and like to rp with: Sadria, Taliesin, Eve, k'Zhirael (sp?), Fox, Drago (in no particular order) And then there are a lot of people who I just enjoy rping with. I just think that all of you are so unbelievably good at it! =^.^=
IC: Noko scratched her head, "Well, I was rushing over here to get some food. You see my uncle's sick, and we don't have very much at home. My cousin told me to go as fast as I could because everyone is hungry anyway. I know it's not a really good reason to run blindly through the streets but...ahh!" She looked up eyes closed, and sighed at herself, "Now I'm babbling. Anyway, thank you very much, but you don't have to help me with such a small task. It's very nice to meet you Loni." Noko dipped her head with a sheepish smile, and was about to leave, but her curiousity got the better of her.
"Um...before I go, would you mind telling me why you're training to be a knight? And why come here? I wasn't aware of many big issues in this town. Oh, I'm not meaning to pry, I was just wondering," She cocked her head slightly, a blank expression on her face."
OOC: Hey, Taliesin? So this Karkais guy, is he going to show up soon?

"Oh... that." Loni grimaced. "My mother is a knight. Well, she's not my mother. She and my father adopted me when I was young. I decided to be a knight too. I do want to be a knight... the training is just really hard sometimes."
When she was younger, someone asking her questions like this would have recieved a, "What's it to you?" followed by a, "Are you some sort of creep stalker?" But, over the years she learned to open up to people when they obviously posed little if any threat to her.
"I'm only in this town now because right now in my training I'm travelling around, helping people and junk. A little while back I went to train under an experienced knight..." This was a story she loved to tell. She could tell that with this girl it would bed particularly fun. "It turned out he was just a little older than me. And.. well...." She winked, hinting as to how it turned out.
"Oh! I'm keeping you from your errands! I'm sorry! I SHOULD be looking for a person to help... say.... I could HELP you with your shopping. It lends you an extra pair of arms, and it gives me an excuse to do very little work. What do you think?" She grinned misheviously, raising an eyebrow.

Noko smiled, "Well, if you'd really like to! Maybe with somebody to talk to I won't hit anybody on the way home!" She trotted off with Loni stopping in front of a small stand with apples. Loading some into her basket, she smiled with a hint of mischief, "So, tell me more about the man you were talking about." She was one who loved gossip. She was like an encyclopedia of information about daily goings-on. Along with a few people. She soaked up things people said on the streets like a sponge.

"Ah... well," Loni smiled, staring into space. "His name is Thief... what can I say about him?"
She remembered back to their first meeting, on the desert caravan. They were camped for the night, and they sat facing away from each other, Thief concealed in his long hooded cloak.
"You're the knight in training?" he asked her quietly.
"Regretfully." was her sarcastic reply. ~-~-~
"Well, he has a WONDERFULLY wicked sense of humor. He's very noble, though. He would protect me to the end of the Earth, even though I tell him not to worry." She grinned at the other girl. "Of course, my mother approves of him, though she's wary. Afraid her little girl is growing up too fast, I suppose."
Loni laughed, her mind drifting back to the last Christmas.
"So, what do YOU hope to get for Christmas, Loni?" Eve inquired, leaning toward her daugher.
"Oh, you KNOW what I want, mother dear."
"And what might that be?"
Loni grinned an impish smile. "Thief."
Eve sat back in her chair, rolling her eyes. "Are you sure you wouldn't rather have a sword or something? Because, I mean, Thief isn't the best Christmas present..."
"Well, that's what I want."
Time passed, friends talked. They all had a nice time at the inn Christmas party.
There came a knoock at the door. Loni was preeoccupied, so when someone answered the door, she didn't notice who it was that entered.
"Loni... I think someone you want to see is here..."
"Hello, Loni."
Her head snapped up at the familliar voice. "THIEF!" She ran at him at top speed, nearly jumping into his arms.
"I got my Christmas wish..." she wispered into his ear.
"You're sweet..."
~-~-~
"But what else is there to say?" Loni asked Noko, snapping back to reality.

Noko squealed, "That's so sweet! You're so lucky to have somebody like that! As far as I'm concerned there aren't that many good men around here." Moving on to a vegetable cart, she continued, "He has an interesting name too. As far as I can tell with the information you've given me, Thief sounds like a very intriguing person." She winked at Loni. After rummaging around for coins, she payed the men in charge of the stands, and jogged off back through the village. "Hey, do you think you could help me out at the house? I'm going to need to make some dinner for everyone, but I need someone to monitor my uncle's fever. Would you mind?"

"Hmm.... on one condition: I get to stay for dinner." She smiled, raising an eyebrow. "Otherwise I'm going to have to buy dinner at an inn, or- god forbid- make my own dinner." Loni laughed at her own mediocre cooking. "At least I'm a better cook than my mother. I'll only eat a meal my father cooks."

Noko smiled and slowed as the small shack-like house came into view, "Well hopefully my cooking if good enough. Of course you can stay! Just pay my uncle's babble no mind. He sometimes gets a little delerious." As they reached the small house, she opened the door.
"I SAID I WASN'T PAYIN' FO' THE TUNA!!" screamed a husky voice.
Noko led Loni inside smiling nervously, "Uncle Shaia, it's me Noko!"
"So did you bring the tuna?!" her uncle asked as he gazed with blind eyes at the opposing wall.
"Um...no, but I brought a bunch of good fruit and vegetables," she said shyly, trying to get into the kitchen before Loni saw too much of her embarrassing uncle.
She dodged a flying glass bottle. "That's not good enough!" Shaia roared.
Noko laughed, "Actually, I think I did get tuna why don't I go and get started. And I brought a friend over who knows all about medicine and illness. I'll let her look at you in a moment." She hurried into the small kitchen. "Sorry for saying that but if you tell him what he wants to hear then there's no issue. For instance the tuna thing. If I tell him lettuce is tuna he'll be happy."
